Don MacMaster began his career as an industrial worker. An interest and ability in employee and labour relations provided him with 15 years of experience in grievances and negotiations as a Union Representative.

After obtaining degrees in Economics and Psychology, he joined the Human Resources Department of a major corporation serving as a management representative, specializing in labour relations training, dispute resolution and collective bargaining.

In 1989 Don became the President of his own consulting organization providing service to private corporations, public utilities, municipalities and associations in the health services and charitable sectors. He has extensive “hands-on” experience in: the development and administration of corporate policies and procedures, executive and employee recruitment, job evaluation, pay equity, wage and salary administration and collective bargaining, grievances and dispute resolution.

Don's mediation skills have earned him the respect of both Management and Union Representatives

In 1991 Don was elected as a Commissioner for Whitby Hydro and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the Whitby Hydro Energy Corporation. In the past Don has served on the Board of Directors of an Industrial Association, an Insurance Company and Community Service organizations.

Don is a leader with highly developed planning, motivational and communication skills as well as being an outstanding trainer and facilitator.
